Event Details

Stan Rogers: A Matter of Heart is a theatrical celebration of the musical legacy of legendary Canadian singer/songwriter Stan Rogers. From the rousing “Barrett’s Privateers” to his heartfelt “Forty-Five Years”, Stan Rogers painted a vivid musical landscape of the people and places in Canada and the stories they had to tell. His body of work continues to inspire and entertain people all over the world to this day.

Since the show made its original debut in 1997, it has been performed to critical acclaim both in Ontario and here on the East Coast. As part of the 2024 “Island Theatre Festival”, this upcoming production’s cast of four will include Stan’s daughter, Beth, who has been performing Stan’s body of work in concert settings for many years at venues that include Hugh’s Room in Toronto, Ontario, and The Stan Rogers Folk Festival in Canso, Nova Scotia. Beth has looked forward to just the right opportunity to participate in this incredible tribute to her father’s music and invites you to PEI to celebrate Stan’s musical legacy with her and this incredibly talented group of actors and musicians.
